During the Creative writing course you will discover the most important foundations of writing. Under the guidance of experienced teachers, who are also writers themselves or work in publishing, you will cultivate your own creative writing style and lay a solid foundation for your own story. You will be provided with all the tools you need to realize your writing ambitions. How is the course structured?
The Creative writing course has been carefully designed to guide passionate writers in writing their own story or text. The course consists of a structured series of modules, with a mandatory attendance on your part, especially the first and the last meeting. There are a total of eight mandatory meetings of three hours each. During those weeks you will be asked to complete assignments from home in a digital learning environment. The course is divided into four modules (eight meetings in total).
Wat will be covered?
During the Creative writing course you will lay a solid foundation for your general writing skills. You will go through introductory basic modules, through which you will become familiar with the most important writing techniques. This way you learn to use language effectively to convey your story, and learn to navigate through different narrative perspectives. You will also explore fascinating plot constructions, develop lively dialogues and characters, and learn to properly structure your writing process.You will also start writing your own story.
During the course, your teacher and fellow students will assess your work and provide valuable feedback. This way you benefit from multiple points of view on your writing and learn from the work of others.
Seal your writing journey with a certificate!
When you have successfully completed all basic modules and actively participated in the associated practical meetings, you have completed the entire writing course and can receive a valid Certificate of Participation from the Schrijversacademie.

Cost overview
The Creative writing course costs extend over a period of 8 to 10 months. The tuition fee includes all study materials and the classes. You can pay for the course all at once or spread the amount over 12 months.
